aw man yeh!
i did this 10 day spring clean.
just 10 days though, fast ey?
pre-diet day (day 1).
this is to prepare your body for the change. i eliminated all stimulants like tea and coffee. also anti depressants such as alcohol. aswell as bread and cooked carbs such as pasta and cereals.
the last meal of the day was just a raw salad of fruit and veg!
it was delicious too :]
your meant to have this early in the evening, say 6pm. then dont have anything else except a herb tea before going to bed.
day 2 and 3.
this is when i did a fruit fast. this is what mainly does the clearing out. the effect is so dramatic that youd even feel it working. youd experience things like a headache, tiredness, weak joints, sensitivity and unsettled emotions. this is good btw. its important that you actually have this to show your doing it right. this is just your body getting rid of all the toxins and waste.
well anyway. the best thing to do is go the whole day of the same brand of fruit. such as living on apples a day.
apples, watermelon and pineapple is what i use for my fruit fast, they all have decent types of ways to make your skin look stunning and make your eyes sparkle.
day 4 to 8.
this is continuing the elimination process.
breakfast - fruit, a nice fruit salad with some honey, or a delicious fruit shake made in a blender.
lunch - large salad made from raw veg.
dinner - steamed veg
(you can swap lunch for dinner or dinner for lunch, whatever suits you!)
days 9 and 10
i didnt really see the difference with these days as for days 4 to 8. but hey, whatever makes you look beautiful!
first - wake up to a drink.
breakfast - fruit breakfast or do what i love... chopped up fruits, sunflower seeds, mixed in with natural yoghurt and honey. its amazing, i have it now when im not even on a diet.
lunch - veg salad.
dinner - have some fish, good for the brains ey! i love fish with salad. but you could have it on its own... or something.
well there you go. your 10 day clean up plan is finished!
the feeling is wonderful as well as your appearance.
not only that but once youve done this i bet youll notice youve trimmed off excess pound!
also reduced your chances of cancer.
which is amazing :]
anyways ive dragged out an essay for you enough.
give this ago. its wonderful!
What would happen to Farmers Markets and food swaps if Monsanto has their way?
I hate them for that reason. I heard they already do have the patent on seeds.
I run a community garden. I started getting heirloom seeds and this year we are saving our own seeds. I fear the day will come when you will have to have a license or something to have a garden. Seeds will be traded on the black market and farmers will be arrested. It is SO scarey.
I am hosting a Valentines Day Cookie Swap/Dinner Party?
these are really cute cookies
Fish en Papillote
* 1/2 red onion, julienned
* 1 zucchini, julienned
* 1 large carrot, julienned
* 1 clove garlic, minced
* 1 tablespoon extra-virgin olive oil
* Kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper
* 4 (4-ounce) sole fillets, hake, flounder or other white fish
* 1 lemon, thinly sliced, seeds removed
* 8 sprigs fresh thyme
* 4 pats butter
* 1/4 cup white wine
Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.
In a bowl, mix together the onion, zucchini, carrot and garlic. Adds the oil, season with salt and pepper, to taste, and toss to combine. Put each fish fillet in a large square of parchment paper and season with salt and pepper, to taste. Arrange the vegetables on top, dividing evenly. Top the vegetables with 2 lemon slices, 2 sprigs thyme, a pat of butter and 1 tablespoon white wine, layering in order. Fold the parchment paper around the edges tightly in 1/4-inch folds to create a half moon shape. Make sure you press as you crimp and fold to seal the packets well, otherwise the steam will escape. Arrange the packets on a baking sheet. Bake until the fish is cooked through, about 12 minutes, depending on the thickness of the fish. To serve, cut open the packets and serve directly in the parchment on a plate or remove the fish to the plate using a spatula, being sure you don't leave the juices behind.
Maybe serve this with rice pilaf and a nice salad
