Free Comic Day (to not be mistaken with Comic Day) remembers the standard graphical novel, with comic stores offering free comics to fans, fanatics and new visitors alike. Why don't you go to your local comic store and find out what you admire? In the end – you can find a totally free comic!

Free Comic Book Day is a partnership between publishers and comic book store to try to get more people into comic books. Participating comic book stores buy special issues to give away. The publishers make them available at cost. Some stores make a bigger event out of it than others. Some stores limit the number of free comic books you can pick up.

Go early bring people with you if you want more books and take a look around the rest of the comic book store, buy something if it interests you.

Does Borders participate in Free comic book day?

Borders stores are still open. The company only shut down smaller stores. As far as I know, the bigger store, and the company are still going.

However, as far as I know, they do not participate in Free Comic Book Day. This is usually held by local comic and specialty shops.
