I like the old cartoons...Donald duck, Woody woodpecker, bugs bunny, Micky mouse, Mighty Mouse, Dudly DoRight, Rocky & Bullwinkle,. Every day, as I seem to be reverting back to my childhood, I enjopy cartoons more & more. I'm going bald, have lost my teeth, having incontinence problse,.. All this comes with the 'senior image, with the cartoons as a plus!
Why these days cartoon suck?
No matter what TV shows come out these days, they will never seem as good as the ones you remember. Your sense of nostalgia will draw you back to the old shows, and you just won't like anything new. I wouldn't say that today's cartoons suck at all. Adventure Time is an amazing show if you give it a chance; it's confusing as hell, but it's hilarious. Phineas and Ferb is pretty awesome as well. There's Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends and My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic, both of which are surprisingly entertaining.
I still prefer to watch things from my childhood like Codename: Kids Next Door and Courage the Cowardly Dog, but I like the new shows too. And I know that my mom, who grew up in the sixties, never liked the cartoons I watched as a kid. She likes her childhood cartoons, such as Rocky and Bullwinkle, Bettie Boop, and Popeye. It all has to do with what you get used to when you're little.
Who here remembers "Rocky and Bullwinkle"?
I haven't seen any answers yet that tell me that someone really remembers them. So, I'll give it a shot. To truly remember them is to remember their hometown of Frostbite Falls, Boris Badonov, Dudley Do-Right, Peabody and Sherman, Tennessee Tuxedo, and who could forget 'Bullwinkle's Corner?'
