Souveniers:

If you stay in Graz, buy some pumpkin-seed oil, great for salads and vegetables or just with bread and cheese. It is dark green, smells and tastes deliciously (once you get over the unusual colour ..)

Things and Places: depends what you are interested in

History: just take a walk through the inner city of Vienna - you will pass a 1000 years of architectural history.

see the gardens at Schönbrunn Palace, the Museums, the Prater with the Ferris Weel, walk or drive to Grinzing to taste the new wine (at the "Heuriger"). Eat Sachertorte at "Demel" CVienna, Kohlmarkt) and go see the Naschmarkt (a very colorfull market).

Best thing to do is to buy the FALTER - this is a weekly magazine, mainly on Vienna but with a section for Styria/Graz and full with information about what to do/see/experience.

Enjoy!

And if you want people to like you, try using "Bitte" (please) and "Danke" (thank you) and "Gruess Gott" (the austrian way to say Hallo) frequently :)
