Running every day is OK, however you have to listen to what your body is saying and to be prepared to take rest days. You do need a break between running sometime to let any niggling things to recover. Many top runners run most days and have rest days built into their schedule (check runing plans from sites like runersworld - they have rest days built in)

Personnally Ill run or train for 3 or 4 days a week, and have the weekend off, so far Ive been OK for injuries like that (and the running doesnt interfere with weekend plans - another consideration!).

You could try lengthening a couple of runs instead, and having a mrest day after the long run.

Oh, as well, rest days are good to replace the energy in your body that you need to run well.

run 1-2 miles a day but if it starts getting easy add more distance or speed. coaches always tell kids they will be the worst, slowest, weakest ect... if they dont do this and that. they always do this to make kids push themselves to the limit to make them better. but sometimes this is bad. i dont think very many people on the team run 6 miles a day. at our school only some of the varsity people do that. try running four days a week. 3 days rest is plenty. dont forget to add distance or speed once it gets easier. you should be fine and the only thing that will make you the slowest kid on the team is running no miles a day. good luck and i hope this helps you.

Run 3 days a week and once on the weekend (take rest days, for example, run Monday rest Tuesday, run Wednesday rest Thursday, run Friday run Saturday, rest Sunday)

Aim for 2-3 miles at an easier pace, but not too easy. You should be sweating but not dying. :)

OH and to avoid injures run a 5-10 minute warm-up and then stretch. NEVER stretch if your body is cold because you will just injure yourself more.
