is 10-day weather forecast accurate/reliable on weather.com?

is 10-day weather forecast accurate/reliable on weather.com?

No, it's not. The forecasts on sites such as weather.com, Accuweather, and wunderground are not tailored to the individual city. The forecast comes directly from one of the computer weather models, generally the Global Forecasting System (GFS) model. The accuracy of the GFS falls off beyond the 5 day period- particularly when it comes to the timing and track of events. These forecasts are not reviewed by a meteorologist, and adjusted for local conditions, as a result, they are inaccurate as far as temperature and precipitation.

If you are in the US, you are much better off getting the forecast from the National Weather Service. They actually have a experienced meteorologist making the forecast for that specific area. Here is a link to their homepage. Go to the upper left corner of the page, and enter the location information in the "City, State" box and click submit. It will take you to the forecast page for your local NWS office.

For National History Day, I’m doing an exhibit on the Chinese Exclusion Act

For National History Day, I'm doing an exhibit on the Chinese Exclusion Act. What should the background be?

I tend to go for irony - - - the building of the Pacfic Railroad, thousands upon thousands of Chinese recruited to build the impossible under hostile conditions that defied the efforts of other 'ethnic' groups. And then WHEN the railroad was completed, the demand that the Chinese go away, go back to where they came from. I would dig up many many of the posters & ads inviting the Chinese in and then contrast them with newspaper headlines & posters speaking out against the Chinese...

for example

This is a poster that says

"BOYCOTT -- - - A General Boycott has been declared upon Chinese & Japanese resteraunts tailor shps and wash houses. Also all persons employing them in any capacity.

All friends and sympathizers of Organized Labor wil assist us in this fight against the lowering Asiastic standards of living & morals.

America versus Asia

Progress versus Retrogression

are the considerations involved. etc etc ""

and this one is a 'hoot' ad quite clever with a German telling an Irishman, 'if the Yankee Congress can keep the yellow man out what is to hinder them from calling us Green and keeping us out?"

Many others availiale simply Google 'Chinese Exclusion' and IMAGES and you will find you can create a mosaic illustrating the issue....

Peace........ // -----------O . I . O ---------- \\

(Poetry is finw but I find short simple poems rule over longer pieces)
