What Does "Holy Innocence" Mean?

There is a Holy Day labeled feast of the Holy Innocence, which by the way falls on my Birthday every year.... December 28. It remembers infants who died young, children also, but adults who were child like either mentally or physically (including adult virgins). These are people who, by the Roman Catholic definition, have not been adulterated in mind or body. It is assumed that infants are not tainted by sin. Also, children below the "age of reason" are considered innocent. That age is either 7 or 12, I can only remember those two ages as significant. Age of reason means the age when one is responsible for choices morally, right and wrong.

Did you observe Holy Innocents'Day(Childermas)?

I normally attend Mass on Saturday morning and wanted to attend today. Unfortunately I have the flu so I read the Mass readings and prayed at home. I do however donate time, resources, and money to our local Pregnancy Care Center.

Pax et Bonum,
