Card Playing Day

Card Playing Day falls a couple of days after Christmas, when everyone needs a little of the break along with a wind-lower. Believe to unwind and spend a while with family and buddies compared to playing a game title of cards?

Can i play Kingdom Hearts 358/2 before Chain of Memories?

Hey, hope I can help you :)

You can play either one you wish first sice this wont affect your understanding of the story. Days helps explain the character Roxas and the organization XIII more in depth since we get the insiders' view so it will let you understand some aspects in kingdom hearts II and chain of memories but it's not like you'll be lost without it. I do recommend playing it before KHBBS and Kh3d since they have some connections.

since you said you want to play all the other games too then I'll tell you the chronological order.

The chronological other:

-Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep(10 years before Kingdom hearts, psp)

-Kingdom Hearts(ps2, 10 years after Birth by sleep)

-Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days(this is before chain of memories but the story itself ends after chain of memories has begun,so in a way is a mixed timeline, like you get to see whats been going on with these other characters while chain of memories plot had began and before it had began,DS)

-Kingdom Hearts Chain of Memories(after that scene in KH1 when they follow pluto,ps2remake and gameboy advanced as original)

-Kingdom Hearts II(A year after chain of memories' events,ps2)

-

Kingdom Hearts Coded(immediately after kh2,a virtual version of sora is created to enter the data of Jiminy Cricket, to piece together and decode secrete messages,DS)

-Kingdom Hearts Dream Drop Distance(Immediately after coded and more of a sequel to KH2, this game sets up the entire roots of KH3,3DS)

I didn't play coded but it's not of vital importance to the story. Some people skip kh:dream drop distance but they should not because then they'll be completely lost in KHIII when it comes out, this game is of vital importance, same goes for Birth by sleep.

There are also different versions of Kingdom Hearts 1 and 2, these are called Final mix versions. The final mix version contain more cutscenes, battles, weapons and more, however they aren't necessary to understand the story. The final mix versions where only released in Japan, lucky for us that we're soon getting them too, you'll see with the explanation bellow.

There is gonna be an HD remaster collection of the games for ps3, note that the collection will only contain the tittles before Kingdom Hearts II(except birth by sleep), it will only contain those because it is the firs remaster edition called "Kingdom Hearts 1.5". A recent interview with Nomura has nearly confirmed a second remaster volume with will surely contain the remaining tittles before Kingdom Hearts III.

**Important note** The games that will be in the 1.5 remaster will be : Kingdom Hearts Final mix,Re:Chain of memories(the remake one) and Kingdom Hearts 358/2 days, but 358/2 days will not be playable it will only be a collection of all the scenes in full hd remaster. The HD remaster was already confirmed to be released outside of Japan, however it has no release date.

On a side note: Kingdom Hearts III is still not in development, they only have the base of the story and they have only told us that it will be the end of a certain saga(i dont want to spoil) but not the end of the games. The KH game development team is currently busy with other projects that have on going for years now,yes years O_O but Kingdom hearts III was recently mentioned and it is planned to be out on the ps4.

You still have time to catch up with the story, there's always time actually. So hope this helps and enjoy Kingdom Hearts :D

Have a Dell Studio, what graphics card do i need to play Arma 2 (day z)?

Have a Dell Studio, what graphics card do i need to play Arma 2 (day z)?

Nothing in your price range will make a substantial difference.

A Radeon HD 7750 is the most powerful card that's usable with Dell's factory 350W power supply. It can play Arma II well on medium settings. However, it's not *that* much better than your GeForce 9800GT. The Radeon HD 7750 performs a bit better than the GTS 450 and Radeon HD 5750 in most games, but those are just one level above what you've got. On average you'd get maybe another 8-12 fps when running demanding games at 1920x1080.

Moreover, the 7750 is out of your price range at £88. You can get the GDDR5 Radeon HD 6670 for £65 but that's basically a lateral move from your 9800GT. It gives you DX11 support, but isn't more than 1-2 fps faster.

Your Q8200 CPU is a bit sluggish at 2.33Ghz but it's enough to play. So I lean towards sticking with your current configuration and playing on reduced settings.

Note- the answer to your other question was pretty far off. Intel processors perform much better in games than AMD, especially the Core i3/i5/i7 models (even first generation). A Phenom II X5 955 running at 3.2Ghz is easily outperformed buy a Core i5 750 running at 2.66Ghz. The 2nd generation Core i3 2120 outperforms AMD's highest-end processors in most games. Contrary to popular misconception, core count doesn't matter nearly as much as Core architecture/efficiency. There are a few titles where having a quad core is helpful, but most games don't utilize more than 2-3 cores.

In any case, spending a bit more and getting a Core i5 2320 gives you a gaming CPU that AMD can't touch.

Of course gaming performance is still 70% CPU driven- so your 2nd build with a Core i3 2120 and Radeon HD 7770 is better than ANY processor paired with a Radeon HD 6670.

What are some fun card games to play between 2 people?

What are some fun card games to play between 2 people?

My wife and I played a great many two-hand card games in our younger years. Here are the ones we settled on as being our personal favorites.

Cribbage

Spite and Malice

Two-hand Canasta

Two- Hand Pinochle (A game that requires more skill than any other two-hand card game)

CRIBBAGE

Everyone has heard of this game. This is a classic, two-hand card game and one of the very best. Of course you will need a cribbage board.

SPITE & MALICE

Spite and Malice is one of the most popular two-hand games played in the United States. It is especially popular as a husband vs. wife game in many parts of the U.S. It is almost impossible for one player to be so far behind that he/she must abandon hope of winning. The opponent may be down to his last card, while you have scarcely started, and you can still run out the game on him/her. In mechanics, Spite and Malice is very similar to the principle solitaire games.

TWO HAND CANASTA

Canasta, also known by the less common name of Argentine Rummy, originated in Uruguay but became popular as a fad in the card clubs of Argentina by 1949. It quickly emigrated to the United States where it reached its height of popularity from 1949 to the mid 1950s and was the biggest game fad the U.S. had witnessed since Mah-Jongg in the 1920s. For awhile during the early 1950s, Canasta exceeded Contract Bridge in popularity. The word canasta is Spanish, meaning basket, and may first have been applied to the tray placed in the center of the table to hold the stock and discards. For anyone who enjoys Rummy card games, Canasta and its variants will prove their worth.

There are many, many variations of Canasta, some of them require four and six decks of cards. The base game is played with only two decks. SUGGESTION: Instead of a single draw from stock, do a two card draw. This speeds up the game.

TWO-HAND PINOCHLE

Quoting John Scarne, author of Scarne’s Encyclopedia of Card Games, “Although not played as often as three and four-handed versions of the game (Pinochle), two-hand Pinochle is, in my opinion, the one game of the Pinochle family demanding of the player the most skill. No, I’ll go further than that: In this game there is more room and need for strategy than in any other two-handed game. In most two-handed games, including Gin Rummy, a lucky beginner can occasionally hold his own against an expert in a session lasting over several hours. In two-hand Pinochle, the element of skill is decisive, over the short or long run.” Aside from the melding aspect of Two-Hand Pinochle, the game bears little resemblance to its four-hand counterparts.

NOTE: To play any form of Pinochle, you will need a deck of Pinochle cards consisting of 48 cards. There is no card below a ‘9’ in a Pinochle deck.
