BTW, did you read "The book of the Daleks"? In a later TV series, they were armed with machine guns, for distance. Mechanoids V Daleks was mindblowingly awesome, but cost so much to make that we never got to see them again: just imagine a 3 way battle over the Doctor. Mechanoids V Daleks V Cybermen. Much too much!!! Shame they never had a Dalek V Cybermen battle, they could have done that on a reasonable budget. Did you see the MTV video clip of the Daleks being smashed up by cars, and the Spike Milligan skit where a housewife doing the ironing, says to the Dalek coming through the door "Did you have a nice day, dear?", and the Dalek replies "NO, I EXTERMINATED THEM" and so on?

Is it possible to outrun a Dalek?

They never used to be able to climb stairs either, but with the advent of specialFX most Daleks can now fly, so your chances of escape would be next to nil.
