How much money would i need for a day in germany??

First off, if you were to spend one day in Germany I would obviously reccomend that the day be spent in Berlin.

Check in to an A&O hostel... There is one right near the main train station and the night will cost you 10-15 euros depending on the season and rooms available. Breakfast is included, and check out is by 10am the morning of your departute.

As far as drinking, befriend some people at the hostel (don't be shy nearly everyone is there to meet people and have a good time) and go on on a Pub Crawl. The hostel you stay at will have pamphlets. Pub Crawls are a party of 20-100 people that follows guides around to 4 bars and ends at a night club. Entry to the club is usually included in the price of the crawl. Tours usually start off with a free drink or two and you recieve a drink at each bar you go to. The price is generally 10-15 euros. Bring 20-30 more euros if you want to buy your own drinks. You may find it common for your new friends to buy a round of drinks for your newly found gang. If so, try to return the favor, or atleast buy that person a drink.

Bring another 10-15 euros for food, if you want good food. You could get by on less... if you splurge, splurge on dinner. For lunch ask your new buddies that have been in Germany a few days about a Turkish sandwich. I forget the name, but it's delicious. Stay away from any of the chains you see here in the States... there's no point in eating at a McDonalds when you are in Germany.

For a shirt and a few small souvenirs, bring about 20 Euros... Your futball jersey will probably be somwhat pricey.

During the day you can usually find walking tours or bike tours for somewhere around 6 euros.

What Are You Doing For Mothers Day?

You sound like a great daughter, saving your money to buy a bracelet for your Mom, I'm certain she will love it. No matter how old you get you will always be someone's daughter!

My Mom is in her eighties and is quite healthy, lives in her own home, gardens, feeds her blue jays and looks after her two cats Odie and Max. Everyday that I spend with her is a gift, as I know there will be time when she will not be there anymore.

Two days from now I will drive the four hours to visit for the weekend, I will fix things in the house, play cards with her. Help her any way I can while I'm there. I was there two weeks ago to do some things such as take her shopping, repair a door that would not shut, anything to make her life easier. I have a lovely silk sweater and matching shell that she will love as a gift on Mother's Day. Sunday I will take her out to a nice Italian restaurant with decent food and then a movie later if she's not too tired. She tires easily these days, and sleeps at odd moments, but she is still the fantastic and loving Mother she will always be.
