Hi,
You can also look out for INLEAD. The Institute is located in Gurgaon. They provide 1 year of Post Graduation Diploma in Event Management & Public Relations. This is a full time course and in 1 year duration students would be having 6 months of industry exposure through which they can earn back up to 50% of their fees during the course.
They are also getting good placement offers for their students. Students after pursuing this course are getting guaranteed salary packages in the range of 4 - 6 lacs, though it all depends on individual's experience, potential and aptitude level.
Events Management is all about Glitz and glamour. You will have to manage Fashion Shows, Awards Functions, and Thematic Weddings at a very large scale. There are various concerts, Youth Festivals, and different types of expos that you will be a part of during the course period.
Public Relations mainly involve media relations, media handling and how to interact with journalist. You will have to arrange Press conferences for your clients, arranging interviews for your clients with the journalist and through this course you will understand the nitty gritty’s of each and every aspect , which is being said above.
I need help with destination weddings in Mexico?
Listen, I would check it out thoroughly starting with your local Mexican consulate. I was married in Mexico City about 22 years ago. (My wife is Mexican, I am Canadian) The red tape was enormous. It took us over a week to get through all the permits and medical forms and so forth. Then because we were both divorced, we had to have some real political "pull" AND bribe several people or it NEVER would have happened! Even then the judge wanted to give us his first available slot 5 months from now. Result another substantial bribe.
Maybe things have changed for the better, perhaps if you are not marrying a Mexican national its easier, I don't know, but you need to find out before you go any further.
(I would rather set my hair on fire and put it out with a hammer than get married again in Mexico! - of course having finally found the perfect wife and having a perfect family, I'd rather set my hair on fire and put it out with a hammer than get married again, period!)
