His parents definitely need to know about this, Even if he gets mad at you it is better to save a life. No matter if it is for attention of he is serious, this is a serious situation that needs some attention from others. Let anyone know, a councelor, his parents, anyone who may can help and trust.

Hi, sweetheart,

I am so sorry about your loss--and I know you are trying as hard as you can. Things do look pretty dark right now and your dad's anger at his loss only makes things worse for you both.

But, regardless of what your dad says or how much he bullies, you need to be a survivor--in honor of your mother. She wouldn't want you to be lost, too.

You are still so young and have a lot of living to do so,

1) Go to your school counselor and tell them the truth--they can help by getting Social Services to visit your home because this situation is beyond your ability to fix--and it may give your dad a wake up call.

2)In the meantime, I hope you will call one of these hot lines so that they can help you work through these difficult times. I know you feel alone but, you aren't--you just have to reach out and let others who are trained, help you. You took the first step by asking a question here on YA, take the next step and make the 'phone call and talk to your counselor. These could be the most important steps you ever take in your young life.
