A 40 of vodka a EVERY DAY HELP!!!!!?

I work in an alcohol rehab clinic in the UK and I cold advise you better if I knew what volume a 40 is?

Thanks for clearing that up for me Norman, as I thought perhaps 'a 40' means 40%abv (alcohol by volume) which is the average strength of vodka and whisky.

The recommended safety limit for a woman is 14 units of alcohol per week with no more than 3 units in any one day, so it depends on the quantity you drink, as an example a one ounce shot (30ml) of vodka contains 1.2 units of alcohol so I'll let you work out the maths on how many units a week you're drinking.

What's also important apart from your health is why you're drinking every day, have you tried to stop, if you have and you can't then Alcoholics Anonymous can help, O offer free advice on this subject if you want to contact me.

I drank a 750ml bottle of vodka in one day?

I drank a 750ml bottle of vodka in one day?

I doubt this is a real Q, but in case it is . . .

Your liver called. It wants to be alive again.

I am an experienced drinker - I seriously drink. Even I can't handle a 1/5 of vodka and a 12 pack in one day. That was hardcore, man. Don't do it again. You drank the equivalent of almost 2 750 ml bottles of liquor. Usually 4 airplane bottles work out to a 1/2 pint (1 airplane bottle = one beer or so) 4 1/2 pints per 1/5. . . let you do the math if you can.

You feel horrible because your body is going through alcohol withdraws. Keep feeding yourself water and feed yourself even tho you may not want to eat. You have alcohol poisoning due to the amount you drank in that period. The body can only handle 1 beer/1 glass wine/1 shot per hour. The excess is working it's way through the blood stream and the liver to clean out the toxins (yes, the body considers alcohol a toxin) Only time will help. Hope you're not doing anything for the next few days . . .

I can tell you what happens here in my college town when a college kid comes in to the ER for alcohol poisoning. They put them on an saline IV and cath them for around an 8 hour period and release them. (to not only flush the body but rid it of the toxins) Don't know what a catheter is? It's a tube they insert up the urethra to drain the bladder (involuntary) of fluids. On the same page? It's not a nice process - my dad gets them when he has kidney stone attacks - he's told me he'd rather die than get them.

You're alive, this time. The next, you may not. Alcohol also deprives the blood of oxygen - a much needed item for life . . . It also raises blood pressure that can lead to heart attacks and strokes.

Strike One!

Sorry, I'm not prepared. At my house it's Wolfie Day every day and I forget that people celebrate other things!

I'll try to do better!
