Blessing of the animals takes place days before and after the Feast day of St Francis (Oct 4). However, most faith traditions (be it Catholic, Anglican, Episcopalian etc...) would probably accomodate a blessing of your animals if you ask.

Oh, bless your heart sweetie. I feel the same way, and I'm doing everything to help stop this. All three of my dogs are from pounds, but I wanted to take every animal there. All pet mills and pet stores selling animals should stop immediatly, because most of those animals are going to places like that.. and dying. People dont understand how cruel it is to breed your dog and cat, and then the puppies and kittens just act as "throw away" pets, after they outgrow their cute stage, the new owners that don't care about animals at all just take them to a pound. They're not euthanizing children in orphanages, and people are soo freaking over populated, and people still have kids, people think animals are overpopulated, but it's only because there's so much people, theres no more room for animals. When you give a puppy away, you never know what kinda home it's going to, or if that will be their pernament home. These animals dont get to have a chance to live, just because people bred them to make a few bucks, not caring at all. That video broke my heart, and I'm still wiping tears away. Thank you for posting this question, to make people understand. People still keep getting dogs at petstores, and this is killing dogs rather than saving them. What makes people more important than animals anyway? We're both living, breathing creatures that can feel both happiness and sadness. How would we feel if some other species locked us in cages, hurt and abused us? I actually think it was better when they only let people have up to 2 kids in the olden day. Once you think about it, humans are the only reason for anything wrong on earth.. polution.. global warming.. not to mention thousands of extinct species of animals, just because they had pretty fur, or valuble tusks. God did not want the world to turn out this way.. we're basically killing another brother or sister for our own profits, some people are so selfesh.

Sorrow fills a barren space;

Blessing for a divorce?

You don't need a blessing, being married to an animal is not something we have to do, and divorcing an animal is not the same as divorcing a human, so don't worry. I, like your son, was in a house like that, was scared to eat, satrved for days on end, when my father left the house my step mother kicked me outside the front door at 8am after he left for work, and wouldn't let me in until 5pm before he came home, i never got any food and starved, she also beat me and threw me into a non breakable glass door, so in the end, screw your friends and people who accuse you, think of your son and be proud that you have had the strength to do this, for your sons sake, for your sake and for your new childs sake! My step mom was also a wonderful person to everyone else, next time stay away from the zoo and marry a human, not an animal.

P.S. the bible is not literal and does not answer all the scenarios one faces, you are not meant to live alone for the rest of your life if you marry someone who is not human, if you are a promiscuous woman then you are in trouble, but you did what you could and you behaved spiritually, it is not your fault and you can marry again.
