The Salvation Army came to Australia in 1880 from the UK. Twenty years before Australia was officially called Australia and the six states of Australia were named on January 1st 1900 on our Federation Day.

Bringing their soup, soap and salvation to the new settlers and families of the colony's of Sydney and Melbourne and have been here ever since.

The Salvation Army is a Christian denomination and international charitable organisation organised in a quasi-military structure.
