Wow I think your mother in law and mine are related, she did that to me last yr. I just sat there kinda dumb like and didnt say a thing til we got home then I vented a bit late..lol Honestly be smart about it and do it only if you really cant or dont want it. We have a thing with a outdoor sports group back home where we do "white elephant "gifts some are hilarious and some are YIKES. The worst regifting I have ever recived was to my secret santa thru school, picked another girl in school and got her a fuzzy coloring poster,teenage mutant ninja turtles water bottle" they where the hit back then..lol" and a bracelet with charms all over it in her fav cartoon character. I got the waterbottle back from her in the same paper same card with her name crossed off and mine in its place, I cried and ran to the office for the rest of the day I was devested, but I was only in third grade and was told later it was done by her mom who was there" dang woman grrrrrr" helping out..lol. But you get the idea.

Actually I would love to regift my husband back to my in laws with a no return policy. you know all gifts are final.
