You can get apple seeds to grow, but they have to be harvested, dried and then cooled in a refrigerator for about 60 days before you plant them.
But...save yourself the trouble. If you could get apples to grow from seed they would not be true to the variety of apple from which you got the seed. (probably).
Most apples we plant, tend, swear at, and eat are grown and reproduced by grafting not from seed.
