Why don’t humans have a mating season?

The closest version humans have of a mating 'season' is the female menstrual cycle - you could say humans have a 'season' once a month when females are best primed to conceive, when they are ovulating.

Males, on the other hand, do not have a cycle - they produce sperm constantly, so they do not experience any analog of a mating season.

This is not unlike the mating habits of rats. Male rats are always ready to mate. But female rats undergo a 4 day estrus cycle similar to our month-long menstrual cycle, and only within a specific window of time are the female rats best fit to become pregnant.

So we actually did develop this "trait" - humans are not completely removed from other forms of life in this sense.

Mating Cockatiels?

Mating Cockatiels?

There could be lots of other factors that are contributing to the eggs not being fertile.

They could just not have the right perches (they need varying sizes) to get everything lined up quite right for a successful fertilization.

It could be a disease or parasite that while not overtly affecting the adults is effectively stopping any successful breeding (a good reason to take your birds yearly to a vet like any other pet).

It might be you mistakenly sexed them, and have 2 females instead of a male/female. They can "mate" just like a real pair sometimes, they just won't have any eggs that result in anything.

It could be something as simple as humidity in the room their cage is in, or just having one bird that's infertile. It happens.

Usually birds don't do it, just to do it. Males will masturbate, so they obviously get some pleasure out of it and it doesn't cost them anything, but mating and producing eggs is a little different. The female spends a lot of time and energy in making the eggs, even if they are infertile.

Flamingo Land, Drayton Manor or Blackpool Pleasure Beach?

I WENT TO BLACKPOOL LAST YEAR MATE AND THIS YEAR 1 MONTH AGO I WENT TO FLAMINGO LAND, AND AT THE END OF AUGUST I AM GOING DRAYTON MANOR WITH OAKDALE HOLIDAYS.

IN MY OPINION YOU SHOULD GO TO BLACKPOOL IT IS THE BEST EVER PLUS YOU COULD GO TO THE BEACH ASWELL, FLAMINGO LAND IS RUBBISH, THE KUMALI IS NOT EVEN SCARY AND SO ISN'T THE CLIFF-HANGER, IN BLACKPOOL PLEASURE BEACH THEY HAVE THE INFUSION WHICH IS EXACTLY LIKE THE KUMALI AND TANGO ICE BLAST WHICH IS LIKE THE CLIFF-HANGER AND THEY ARE NOT BLACKPOOL'S MAIN RIDES.

WELL IF YOU DO GO BLACKPOOL BELIEVE ME YOU WILL LOVE IT AND COME BACK AND THANK ME, SIT ON THE VALHALLA WHICH IS THE BEST RIDE THERE IN MY OPINION. IT IS AN INDOOR WATER RIDE WHICH ANYONE WILL LOVE I HAS 3 DROPS IN THE DARK WHICH YOU CANT SEE AND YOU GET SOAKED MORE THAN ANY-RIDE IN THE WORLD.
