Navy Boot Camp In 4 days!?

Navy Boot Camp In 4 days!?

You'll be able to keep your toothbrush, but you really shouldn't bring anything at all. Once you get there and start processing, you'll end up boxing everything not allowed up and send it back home.

There will be a chance for you to go to the Navy Exchange and purchase everything that's allowed for Boot camp. Money, cash, you wont need any for the entire time of boot camp. Your pay will just sit there and stack up while you're there. If there's something you need to buy, you'll be able to use your smart card and the amount will be deducted from your pay.

Try to get as much sleep as possible the night before going, because you will be sleep deprived for at least the first week. Yeah, it's going to be tempting to party on the last night of "freedom", but I should say this will be the start of your sleep deprivation, the most part of boot camp is sleep deprivation.

You're going to spend a lot of time learning which side of a hall to walk on, how "not" to talk, and standing in lines, sitting in desk and listening for your name to be called. One, two is the same as left, right, how to walk as a group and who is and is not a sir will be your first three days. These are called your "P" days(processing days, shots, more physicals, placed in your division, re-verification of the things you told the recruiter, signing up for your GI Bill. Make sure you get the GI bill. It's your choice to pay $100 a month for your first year. It may seem like a lot for an airman or seaman when you first join, but when you get out, it's one of the best investments you'll make.(don't worry, while you're in, you'll get 100% tuition assistance for college, you'll never touch your GI Bill while you're in) After all the processing, walking around in your "smurfs"(your blue sweat suit you'll wear before you get your uniforms) and hair cuts, you're on your way. Just listen to what's being said to you and remember that you chose to fight in your country's military, you're an adult now. Oh, if you hate tight places, you might want to practices standing in a box facing a wall, this will be the norm while standing in line. Meaning you'll be standing that close to the person in front of you.

If you'll like to know more, feel free to ask.
