You want to be sure to home brew the tea as many bottled one are not healthful or can contain high fructose corn syrups.
When making any tea, use distilled or steam distilled water as being empty, the water will pull more of the healthful phytochemicals that cure and prevent disease.
Other herbs that help the brain are ginkgo, rosemary, cayenne and kola nut.
The best way to take an herbs in not a capsule but in the form of a tinctures as this is readily absorbed while most capsules are not. 2nd best is tea made with organic or wildcrafted herbs. Mountain rose herbs site has all organic and wildcrafted and charges just slightly more for 4 oz than most companies do for 1 oz
Organic or wildcrafted (grown in the ":wilds") contain 7 to 10 times the healing phytochemicals that are the healers than conventional herbs and also don't contain dangerous chemicals like cheap conventional herbs often grown in 3rd world counties where ddt etc are used.
also take fish oil in pretty high amounts (3000 and up) or other source of omega three fats. We eat too much mega 6 fats and get 30 to 50 times too much when they should be in a 1-2 omega 6 to 1 omega three ratio and this chases brain problems and chemical imbalances that lead to mental illness.
Chia seeds is a great vegan or vegetarian source and is also a superfood. Sold as salba it has a whopping 2700 mg a tbs and has no taste so easily mixed with anything like salads, cereals, smoothies etc.
One can make a tasty chia pudding by mixing milk or plant milks (soy, oats, rice etc) or even raw almond "mylk" to it with dried and or fresh fruit..decorate with fruits like kiwi and berries but if you dont have high blood pressure keep an eye on that as it can lower blood pressure.
Fish sources of omega three fats 9the best) are
1 canned or wildcrafted mackerel and salmon
Plant sources are few besides the chia seeds, there's flax seeds (ground), flax seed oil (store in freezer and dont use in cooking), raw walnuts, purslane and hemp seeds (ground)
also reduce omega 6 and bad fats
1 trans fats
2 hydrogenated fats (substitute grapeseed vaganaisse form health food store for mayo) it taste as good or better
3 saturated fats in animal foods like meats, poultry, fish, eggs and dairy/cheese
4 most unsaturated fats
also increase plant foods and raw foods and eat whole foods not refined.
Add a few cups of green smoothies to your day. A study of a whole town who did not change diet at all but added one quart of green smoothies a day reported many beneficial changes in ALL participants in a month.
To make add greens like these kale, collard greens, green leafy tops of carrots, beets, radishes, daikon, etc, parsley, watercress, cilantro, celery, swiss chard, romaine, arugula , dark leafy lettuces, broccoli, bok choy and any green from Asian market and safe wild greens like plantain, lamb's quarter, leaves of dandelions, violets, berries, daisies, burdock, cleavers etc
To this add some fruit, melons, citrus, berries, apples, pears, peaches, coconuts, dates, grapes, figs mangos, bananas etc
along with some water to a blender or if juicing to a juicer. with a juicer drink within 20 minutes no pulp empty stomach dont refrigerate but take fresh each time so it goes to healing and repair and not digestion, with smoothies can take pulp, food, and refrigerate for 2 or 3 days.
Also do hot and clod showers to the head do as hot and as cold as you can working up or down in degrees with time one minute hot then switch to ice cold 7 repetitions of each if any part of body is sick or hurts also do the water hydrotherapy tot hat area while massaging. Finish with vigorous head massage when done.
Also a stimulating exciting environment can grow new dendrites and neurons into old age making one smarter.. do things to exercise the brain like memorizing quotes or passages from book or bible, crossword puzzles and word searches etc.
Finally add deep breathing and if possible aerobic exercise.
I have had stomach pains for 3 months. If over the counter stuff is not helping, should I eat flakangria?
I have no idea what 'flakangria' is. But I can tell you the best thing for upset stomach/diarrhea: green plantain soup, with some salt and optionally a few flavourings and fillers like onion, garlic, potatoes, pasta, soup bones, herbs, etc. (but the crucial ingredient is the green plantain). Just grate the green plantain into a bowl of water and boil it with salt and the optional ingredients for 20 to 30 minutes.
If you don't happen to have access to green plantains (in other words, basically if you don't live in Latin America) a simple chicken noodle soup does wonders too...
