newborn visitation rights-texas?

Well, I would say BREASTFEED exclusively, and if he loves his child and knows how good breastfeeding is, then he would understand that the baby cannot be away from you for a night, as he needs to feed, and bottles could cause nipple confusion and refusing the breast! This is a wonderful argument, he wouldn't want his child to starve would he?

I think 6 months is ok, since you aren't legally doing this, why don't you allow him to stay at your house one day per week to see the baby, surely if he really wants to stay with the baby overnight he will allow this.

I wouldn't let the father just come along and take baby overnight, no way! How would he know to care for him/her if he isn't there during the day, or any night before this. I would say take him to court over it, and tell him 6 months+.

He doesn't have custody, you are the mother and you need to protect your child (I know it is his too, but infants need to be with there mothers, not some man that keeps leaving and coming back).

I might be wrong on this, but this is how I feel.

Signing off parental rights and child support?

This site is for the Washington State Child Support, this is a calculator to find out what your payments would be:

I know in Texas that without an adopting father it is VERY difficult for a father to sign over rights for a child because the state does not want dads to get out of their obligations... not exactly fair since we women can opt for an abortion but the dad gets no option, but obviously it is in the best interest of the child to have financial support from both parents. But what support is really needed is that of a loving father (even more so when the mother sounds like a head case as you are describing).

Your child support will be determined by the court, unless you two come to an arrangement outside of court and have lawyers settle your case. I have known a man that saved considerably by doing this. He looked at the cost for his child's school, after school care, summer care, insurance and offered the mother that amount, she accepted and then found out that the courts would have given her more, but she wasn't smart enough to figure all of that out because she was too busy being a "B" I think that your best bet is to get an attorney and establish paternity as soon as the child is born, don't sign the birth certificate at the hospital unless you are 100% sure it is your child (your story and her description give me doubts!) But as soon as the baby is born start giving her money and getting reciepts because you don't want to be hit with back child support payments for the time that all of the legal proceedings take. Then once you are confirmed as the father make her an offer on visitation, child support, custody and all of that... by having you lawyer offer her amounts and customized visitation you may be able to get out of dealing with her and with a lower amount than what the state would declare as suitable for you. Some men will take lower paying jobs, but they will look at your last years tax return as well so you really have to plan ahead to beat the system that way.... but it may help you to take a lower paying job or become a full time student because for a man to get child support lowered takes an act of God and it is realatively easy for a woman to file for more if his wages increase UNLESS they have agreed to a non-judge decreed aggrement. That is the beauty of getting her to aggree to the amount and custody arangement is that it is declaired it is what she decides and this makes it harder for her to back track on. Bottom line is that you need an attorney though!

What I hope you will find is that by not considering her in the equation, you are going to have a child that will need a father... this isn't as much about her as it is about your child. Do right by the child and get a restraining order on her if the stalking continues... you are correct you have rights to that baby and she has no rights over you and what you do... if she is stalking you then call the cops and start building the records of her insanity this will be helpful in court! Good luck and remember that this could honestly happen to just about anyone and there are very few who would judge you who aren't or haven't been in a simular situation just because of good luck!
