Inconvenience Yourself Day

You realize individuals days whenever you just can’t be bothered to get away from mattress? Well, Inconvenience Yourself Day is undertake and don't. So, you should get some happy face and go available and become nice! The idea might have came from from Ms. Julie Thompson also it was designed to function as a motivation for other people to understand their appreciation for acquaintances or other people and also to promote a sincere attitude as well as an mindful manner. We are able to all celebrate simply by opening a door to have an old lady, quitting a chair to some pregnant lady, helping a young child mix the road, preventing to request if your tourist sheds and requires directions, offering to hold a suitcase in the stairs and usually creating a small sacrifice. But first and foremost, we must think about what others need and just how we are able to help. It will make a large difference!

How do you make yourself...?

I just think about how the consequences of not doing it would inconvenience more than going through with it. I wake up most days and don't feel like going to work, wishing I could stay home and watch TV, surf the net, and play video games. But if I don't go to work, I won't be able to pay the electric bill so I could do those things.

Home daycare fees for sick days?

Home daycare fees for sick days?

I charge a flat rate every week. So no I do not reimburse them for their children's sick days. The ONLY time I reimburse them is if myself or my children are sick, this is because when that happens it's usually a last minute notice, and they have to scramble around to find someone else or call off work because of "me" so-to-say. Now if their child is sick, that is their own problem to deal with, so they still have to pay because it's not my fault their child is sick (nor is it theirs, but you know what I mean). I used to only charge when children came, and way too often their children would come less & less due to being "sick" or the grandma watching them, or whatever. So then all these children who were taking up a full time spot were only coming part time and I was only getting paid for part time, that was something I could not afford. So a way to give myself a more consistent income, and to stop having all my full time spots taking up by children who only ended up coming part time, I just started charging a flat weekly rate. And now that problem is resolved. But in doing this, I had to make a new rule, a child who is sick can not come until 24 hours AFTER no longer being sick. This way the child has time to recover & I feel more confident that the parent isn't bringing a sick child and exposing him/her to all the other children and myself.

Some other advice -

Have the parents pay in advance. I have the parents pay on Friday for the next week, that way, it's covered. Too many times I've not gotten paid or have been paid only half, etc. If I'm not paid, I don't answer the door on Monday. You will save yourself a lot of money issues doing it this way. Also have a contract & state a drop off time & a pick up time specific to each parent's schedule (for example Mon-Fri drop off 7-7:30am, pick up 3-3:30pm), and charge a late policy, if the parent shows up after the time stated on the contract (3:30pm) than charge $5 for every 15 mins they are late. This will stop parents from showing up later & later.

Another thing is potty training. So many times I will have parents who wanted me to do all the work. They expected me to potty train their children here, meanwhile they would throw a diaper on them at home & not work with them. This would make the potty training process so long and pointless. Have it in the contract that if the child isn't showing interest/improvement after a week of trying, you will stop working on potty training until a later date. If a child isn't showing any progress after a week, they are either not ready or the parents are not working with them at home. It will save you a lot of frustration.

I also have it in my contract that the parents must give a 2 week notice for vacation & termination. I require a 1 week deposit. When they give their 2 week notice of termination, that deposit pays for their last week of care. You need 2 week notice to get ready to find a replacement. And it's good to have a 2 week notice for vacation, so that you can take on extra kids (like if it's during a holiday) or if there won't be as many kids during that time you can schedule any needed appointments, which won't inconvenience as many parents.

There is so much more to tell, but I don't want to make this too long & boring.

I could go on & on, I've only been doing this for 4 years, but I've learned/gone through a lot. Usually it's the kids that are ok, but the parents that cause you problems. When I first started out my contract was only 1 page, very plain & simple, but now it's 4 pages. It's a lot, but I have to protect myself.

I am completely depressed since 3 days ago what can i do?

elf-absorption may be a sign of depression. Moreover, some cognitive behavioral therapy attempts to change behavior, and not define cause.

Behavior comes down to habit, change your habits to change yourself. Thinking positively about one’s self and doing what needs to be done (particularly when it is hard to do) can go a long way, and thinking positive thoughts is more effective than trying to suppress negative thoughts. And, meditation has been proven to reduce stress.

Guided imagery is a common technique in improving athletic performance and in cancer treatment, among other things. It involves mentally picturing a specific image or goal and imagining oneself achieving that goal. Those with cancer are taught to imagine their bodies fighting cancer cells and athletes are taught to see themselves executing their sport with proper form. In this case, one could imagine the creation of new neural connections and weakening of old neural connections (or both).

All mental processes are bio-chemical in nature; there is empirical evidence confirming that artificial laughter alters the brain chemistry in a positive way. The American Journal of Physiology (Sep 2011) explained how exercise improves memory, treats depression, and makes people feel better. And, one should not underestimate the effects of proper diet (minimal sugar, avoid processed and refined foods; seek out whole grains, fruits and vegetables, seeds and nuts), avoiding drugs (legal and illegal) and alcohol, and adequate sleep (consistent each day and preferably more than 7 hours), which are essential for optimal physical and mental functioning. ADHD can be treated in this way. And, meditation has been proven to reduce stress (many books are available). Also, self-absorption can be associated with some level of depression.

Dr. Gabe Mirkin's Fitness and Health E-Zine, October 2, 2011, Exercise Increases Mitochondria in Brain Cells: “Exercise increases the size and number of mitochondria in the brains of mice (American Journal of Physiology, September 2011). … This could explain how exercise improves memory, treats depression, and makes people feel better and helps them to think more clearly.”

Examination of all available clinical research reports indicates that “antidepressants are not much better than placebos - dummy pills with no active ingredients in them at all. But that was only part of the story. Many of the studies sponsored by the drug companies were never published at all. They had been withheld from the public and even from the doctors who prescribe these medications.” [Irving Kirsch (2009). The Emperor’s New Drugs: Exploding the Antidepressant Myth]

Self-pity is easily the most destructive of the nonpharmaceutical narcotics; it is addictive, gives momentary pleasure and separates the victim from reality.

A man is but the product of his thoughts, what he thinks, he becomes.

The mind is its own place, and in itself

Can make a Heaven of Hell, a Hell of Heaven.

If you break your neck, if you have nothing to eat, if your house is on fire - then you got a problem. Everything else is inconvenience.

Robert Fulghum

If you compare yourself with others,

you may become vain or bitter,

for always there will be greater and lesser persons than yourself.

Enjoy your achievements as well as your plans. …

You are a child of the universe

no less than the trees and the stars;

you have a right to be here. …

With all its sham, drudgery, and broken dreams,

it is still a beautiful world.

Be cheerful. Strive to be happy.
