check spelling, capitalization, punctuation?

I wondered how it had happened two days ago. My friends and I left for a camping trip in Algonquin Park and thought it was going to be the best vacation ever. First there was the blown tire on the highway, as I recall. Jeremy was the only one with the know how on changing tires, and he had to fix it. Then the storm came, and it was a heck of a storm. We has barely set up the tent when the storm hit us with gale force winds, pounding rain and lightning everywhere. Soon everything was wet: the clothes, tools, fishing gear and even our books.

"How about giving me a hand?" yelled Jeremy as he tried to steady the canvas, "I need to get the supplies steadied in this wind"

We scrambled over to him just in time to see the tent go off into the trees. We spent the rest of the night gathering up our gear then sleeping in the car. What a beginning to a vacation.

Help with punctuation day paragraph?!?!? 10 points for best answer! Please help!?

Apostrophe - use omission or possession.

Brackets - add something in, a bit of extra information.

Colon - it kind of presents the final part of the sentence, like a major short part.

Semi-colon - Link two sentences together, the second adds info to the first.

Comma - Compound or complex sentence.

Dash - Use a compound word (mind-blowing)

Hyphen - Similar to a colon and a semicolon.

Ellipsis - Three dots, right? Suspense or a dramatic ending.

Exclamation - Exclaim something epic or unexpected.

Question mark - Use a rhetorical question.

Speech marks - Use speech, a thought in someone's head or a quote.

Parentheses - Maybe used after the semicolon (I'm not entirely sure what it is, I think it's an after-thought).

Take together a few random ideas to make kind of a short extract from a story or something. Maybe describe a place or experience. Make something up. It's gonna be difficult to fit all of that punctuation into 3 sentences. Good luck with that, I hope I helped.
