Pear and grape juice are also good for the bowels (and some people will say the same of citric fruits, plum, peach and pineapple).
Maybe you need to cut down on dairy products, and cut down (or cut out!) meat.
Persistent bowel problems can be a sign of serious illness, but then again some people just have a natural propensity to it because of colon nerves or lack thereof, colon/rectum capacity and so on. (that seems to be the case in my family).

Even though it is specifically for babies, I would still stay clear of it. It's not worth putting your baby at risk for the sake of 4 months when there's so much more available without pineapple.

I would skip the acidic juices (pineapple, orange juice) until close to a year of age, I would think that it would cause stomach pains.
You can do pear or apple juice, or use formula or breastmilk, baby is already used to and likes their flavor.
