For basic training and AIT, it'll be like the "real" Army. But after that, it's mainly just drill (going to your Guard post one weekend a month and "training" which sometimes is nothing more than detail work like cleaning). Then you have the two weeks out of the year to drill. That's mostly fun. Depending on your MOS, you could be practicing your job skill or not. Depends on what they decide to do whether it be war games or whatnot. Maybe even classroom work. It'll likely take place somewhere other than where you regularly drill.
Pay is crap, cuz you only are paid for the time you're there, which is two days. The benefits are different when you aren't on an active duty status...so don't automatically expect the same benefits as an active duty member.

If you can't access emails at all this is because you will have a network problem with local or national severs. If you can open documents that people have attached to emails them you will need the latest adobe reader and at least open office.org which is free or M/S office 2003.
Maintaining your computer
1. Left click on C drive> properties/run windows disc cleaner
2. Download Ccleaner from here:
3. Install Ccleaner and run the cleaner top left, then run the registry cleaner below it on the left. 9you don’t need to backup the registry
4. Left click on C drive> properties>Tools>disc scanner or in the case of Vista it’s called something else, but it’s the top tab you click on> Prompt the scanner to scan upon next reboot and REBOOT COMPUTER)

5. After Disk scan/Disk check has finished run windows Disc Cleaner again, Ccleaner again and registry cleaner again.
6. Then you must do a DEFRAGMENTAION of C drive which is START>ALL PROGRAMS>ACCESSORIES>TOOLS>DEFRAGMENTATION.

Cook (makes them think you're good and wise maybe), not use the computer (unless important stuffs) until your parents notice you, clean your room, tell your mom you saw something on national geographic, talk about colleges, ask her about her work, and ask her about the economy. It might work.
