Valentine's Day in Orlando ....Yay!?
Where are you two staying? My boyfriend and I have been going to Walt Disney World for the past couple summers. We're a serious couple, too. We've been dating four years. You should really think about spending some time at Walt Disney World. We always stay for a minimum of ten days and we just have the most incredible, romantic time. We stay right at Disney's Polynesian Resort and don't even leave WDW property. You wouldn't believe how much there is to do. There's four theme parks, two water parks, and Downtown Disney (a huge entertainment complex), so we usually allow one day for each. We have the best time just running around and trying to see every attraction at all the theme parks. And the fireworks shows at night are so wonderful. We enjoy dining out at all the different restaurants. The water parks are a lot of fun. They're so big and have so much to do. Typhoon Lagoon is our favorite! We love playing in the giant wave pool, relaxing in the lazy river, and riding the new Crush 'n' Gusher water coaster. One day we went to EPCOT and took the Seas Aqua Tour at the Living Seas Pavilion. It was so awesome! We got to swim in the aquarium with the sharks, stingrays, sea turtles, and other huge fish. They give you SCUBA gear and you just swim below the surface, so you don't get too close to the dangerous fish. It was definitely one of the most amazing things we've ever done in our lives. It was a really special experience for the two of us. They allow you to swim off on your own, so we could go off and hold hands while enjoying the sea life. And they take a picture of you before you go in the tank, so we have this great picture of the two of us in our SCUBA gear, so we'll always remember the incredible experience. They gave us t-shirts, too! They also have other tours. One for certified SCUBA divers so they can go all the way into the tank, and there's a dolphin one, too. Another night we went on a fireworks cruise to see IllumiNations: Reflections of Earth at EPCOT. It was so wonderful! We'd seen the fireworks show a couple nights before, but the park is so crowded, so we didn't have a great view and were surrounded by so many people. But the fireworks cruise was perfect. We were on our own boat. It was just us and the driver, and he had snacks and drinks on hand. It was very romantic, and we had the best view of the fireworks so we could record it without people's head in the way. If you'd like it to be a little more romantic they can have the boat decorated and have a table set up with a bottle of champagne and chocolate-covered strawberries. We always try to spend one day at Downtown Disney. We spend the afternoon shopping, have a nice, quiet lunch at Bongos Cuban Cafe, head over to the AMC 24-Theatre Complex to see a movie. We always see Cirque du Soleil: La Nouba in the evening. It's at Downtown Disney's West Side and is so incredible. It's mindblowing, really. There's so much fun stuff to do around the Resorts, too. My boyfriend and joys fishing, so one day we went on a guided fishing excursion around the Seven Seas Lagoon and Bay Lake. It was so much fun! And if you're a girl who doesn't enjoy touching the fish or bait, the guide will bait it for you, cast it, and remove the fish when you catch one. And you will definitely catch a fish. I caught at least ten fish. And I got a great tan that day, too. At Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort you can go horseback riding. A few of the Resorts offer romantic evening horse-drawn carriage rides. The nights are the best time. We love coming back to our room at Disney's Polynesian Resort, sitting out on the patio, and enjoying the beautiful view of Cinderella Castle across the Lagoon. It's just so magical and romantic. On the last day of our most recent trip e went to Disney's Grand Floridian Spa and got Swedish massages in the couple's room. It was such a perfect ending to our vacation.
One year my boyfriend saw a commercial for Walt Disney World and said "why don't we go there?" So we did. We booked a vacation to Walt Disney World and I began planning. We finally went in August of 2005 and had the best time of our lives. Ever since we've both fallen in love with Walt Disney World, and I'm just obsessed, I guess. We went back in August of 2006, and we have another trip booked for July of this year. We plan to go at least once a year from now on, as long as we can afford it.
If you're going for ten whole days you should definitely spend some of your time at Walt Disney World. There's so much to do!
Hope I could help! Have a great time!
