How could atheists get it so wrong?

You posted virtually the identical question earlier, only you had the KKK instead of the IRA. The question was deleted, I'm assuming by you because you realized how devoid of facts it was. The problem with this latest question, aside from being historically inaccurate, is that the premise doesn't work. I don't recall any question from any atheist pertaining to the IRA. Certainly it's not as prevalent as you suggest.

In case you're interested, here is my response to the earlier KKK question before it was yanked.

Sorry, but you're way off. They are Christian and have identified themselves as such from the beginning. They bombed churches that were BLACK churches. If you're a white Christian (non Catholic) then you fit their demographic. From the KKK web site:

"There is a race war against whites. But our people - my white brothers and sisters - will stay committed to a non-violent resolution. That resolution must consist of solidarity in white communities around the world. The hatred for our children and their future is growing and is being fueled every single day. Stay firm in your convictions. Keep loving your heritage and keep witnessing to others that there is a better way than a war torn, violent, wicked, socialist, new world order. That way is the CHRISTIAN way - law and order - love of family - love of nation. These are the principles of western CHRISTIAN civilization. There is a war to destroy these things. Pray that our people see the error of their ways and regain a sense of loyalty. Repent America! Be faithful my fellow believers. "

Don't forget:

Association of United Pagans -- operates a food bank and tree planting projects

Cedarlight Grove -- clothing drives, prison ministry

CERES (Coalition of Earth Religions for Education and Support) -- food pantry, clothes pantry, emergency financial assistance

Or the other numerous Pagan charities listed here:

Just thought I'd point out the Wiccan/Pagan contributions to their communities.

Why are christians convinced that atheists spend a lot of time convincing themselves that god

Why are christians convinced that atheists spend a lot of time convincing themselves that god doesn't exist?

I like how you think.

I need someone like you to do rants such as this for a website of mine. You seem like the perfect person for the job. Edit your post if you are interested.

I'm being serious. Arguments such as this is good. I've a place on a website of mine for things such as that.
