Plumbing Day boosts awareness about the significance of clean, freshwater to developed and developing communities.
World war 1 really put people in work producing
armaments plus many jobs associated with
the war effort.Food, even before the war,was
basics as not much was imported in those
days and even before the war people grew veg,
apples and ate locally produced animal products,
even horse meat was on the menu plus the
poor mans beef,Rabbit, flour to make bread
was used mostly,no such thing as cut loves
or Super Markets, just the corner shop and
the local Co-op.People also kept chickens
for eggs and killed a chicken now and again
to supplement the table jams were also
made at home from local products ie rhubarb
plumb,apple,gooseberry and strawberry.Yummy
What to do during a bad day?
Don't we all have our "Bad Days"? Well that's the game of life for ya, you can't expect every day that you wake-up and go face the world to be a good one, If I'm having a rough day, I try not to think about it. I try to focus my mind on getting through that day, I try to keep focused on what's positive and forget about the negative bull$hit that's making my day a living nightmare. So one day is no different than the other, they're 24 hrs. It all depends on your attitude and how you approach your day. That is something that I've learned and experienced the 51+ years that I've been on this earth. You know what I used to do during a bad day? I used to go out and get $hitfaced Drunk, but here's the thing, I hardly ever drink anymore, as a matter of fact I've gave up that nonsense a long long long time ago. so I just deal with it, I've learned to let it go in one ear and out the other. I don't even worry about it, If I were to spend my life worrying about if I'm going to have a Bad Day or a Good Day, you know what? I would be plumb crazy. Oh Btw Pink Floyd Rocks I noticed you avatar.
define a loop vent in plumbing?
A direct vent goes directly to the exterior.
A loop vent returns to the stack at a higher point than any of the fixtures it serves. High-rise buildings use loop vents commonly with special fittings to prevent effluent from above from flowing in them.
Sovent systems are the most common form of single-stack high-rise plumbing these days - the system was developed for the original World Trade Center - as was the Shaftwall system for elevator enclosures.
