Does anyone else get the feeling the world is never going to end?

I know what you mean. First they said the world was coming to an end, so I didn't do my ironing because the world was coming to an end. Then the world didn't come to an end so I had to do the ironing. Then someone else said the world was coming to an end, so I thought maybe I got the time zones wrong, so I didn't clean the toilets. Well the world didn't come to an end, so I got stuck cleaning the toilets. Then the world was coming to an end again, so I went to my pharmacist and explained to her that I needed my prescription filled, but the world was coming to an end, so we decided to try and fill the prescription and if the world came to an end while she was filling it, then I wouldn't have to pay for it. Well the world didn't come to an end, so I had to pay for the prescription. So then I took myself out to lunch. I figured out that the world wouldn't come to an end while I was eating Chinese food. I think God has a sense of humor. He is probably waiting for the day I mow my lawn and am all sweaty and then the world will come to an end and I will have to go to heaven with dirty hair.

In British Columbia who makes more money a pharmacist or any type of engineer?

In British Columbia who makes more money a pharmacist or any type of engineer?

A pharmacist makes a little more to start but my mid career engineers make more.

As well, pharmacists work drug store hours like evenings and weekends. Even late in their career while engineers have more same hours.

Also, pharmacists do the same stuff day in and day out for their entire career. Engineers do thousands of different things. I am an Electronics Engineer in Vancouver and I never have two days the same. And I can telecommute as well. I design products for the music industry and the top names in the world use my stuff.

My daughter is getting a PhD in civil engineering and will make more than a mid-career pharmacist right from the start. She will be building bridges, roads and airports.

how was it like to be a pharmacist?

Go to your nearest smaller drug store and talk w/ the pharmacist there. Ask if you could shadow him for a few days. Tell him about your dream to become one. I say the smaller ones because you would have a much better chance at getting the answers you are looking for first hand. You would get to see all the ins and outs and possibly even assist a bit. If you get to do that for like a week, then you will have all the info you need to see if this is really what you want to do. If it is, I wish you all the luck in the world because you deserve it!
