how is honey made?

When a honey bee takes nectar from a flower, she stores it in a "honey sack." When this honey sack is full, she returns to the hive, deposits the drop of nectar into the honeycomb, and evaporates the water out of the nectar by fanning her wings. Once the honey has aged, wax is used to seal it in the comb, which keeps it clean and safe.

* A honeybee makes 154 trips for one teaspoon of honey.

* A colony produces 60 to 100 pounds of honey a year.

* To gather a pound of honey, a bee flies a distance equal to more than three times around the world. It takes two million flowers to make one pound of honey.

What kinds of bees are there?

There are three classes of bees: queens, workers, and drones. In a hive, there can be hundreds of drones, thousands of workers, but always just one queen.

The Queen

o She is the only bee able to lay eggs.

o She never leaves the hive and is constantly attended by workers.

o She only uses her sting against other queens.

o She lays up to 2,000 eggs per day.

The Worker

o Workers are all sterile females.

o If born during the active spring or summer months, they live for only four to five weeks; during winter, they live for a few months.

o They perform many tasks in and out of the hive, including:

+ Gathering pollen

+ Making honey

+ Feeding the other bees

+ Producing beeswax

+ Building honeycombs

+ Protecting the hive

The Drone

o Drones are males.

o Drones don't work, can't feed themselves, and have no stinger.

o They live for only about three months.

o Their only task is to mate with queens.

I don't recommend you wait for any major news organisations to report anything other than stories about Justin Bieber's new hair-cut.

What are BEE’S Attracted to????

What are BEE'S Attracted to????

Naturally bees are attracted to any sweet adores food honey it self or flowers adores.

Bees naturally are harmless Creatures (Normal bees not killer bees those are deadly still you need more than a 100 sting to die and not likely) If you see a bee roaming around your food or flours please don't kill it in fact leave it bee the bee will never attack unless harassed and amongst all the insects the bee is the cleanest insect in the whole world I never killed a bee before.

Also know that the bees sting is infarct helpful for your body yes look it up it's sting contains matters that are good to the body.

So when seeing a bee or too don't freak out and attack even though most of us has the insectophobia stll we can overcome it just do whatever you are doing and leave them be it will even land on you without doing nothing and remember that bee has a job it is not just wondering for nothing and that job brings us the Honey that cure lots of diseases and is a real good food.

know that Bees are really decreasing in the world and without them we will loos a really important food.
