World Aids Day is to commemorate those who have lost their lives to the disease and also honor those who are currently living with it. It was created to raise awareness and educate people about HIV/AIDS. Most people who celebrate Worlds Aids Day probably know someone who is living or has lived with the disease and they celebrate their lives in different ways, such as candlelight vigils, AIDS walks and other events. I chose to mentor other young women about the importance of getting tested.

What is something cool to do today, on world AIDS day?

Doing something cool today.... perhaps just try reflecting. I came out before AIDS and during the 80s I saw so many of my friends and their friends just die. I mean left and right.

I often think about how different this world would be if none of them had died in this way. But it's not realistic.

Don't think of something cool to do today for World AIDS Day. Think of something cool to do for AIDS. It could be the smallest thing, but the smallest thing could mean so much for the right person.

AIDS taught me to appreciate those I have in my life right now, for tomorrow they might not be there. I wish I could tell you why the friends I have lost were so cool. But it's not what we have now. I better end this before I babble on.

I think it is very disturbing the way some people think when it comes to AIDS and STD's. There are alot of careless people out there. I know one guy whom I wanted to get tested. He wouldn't and I asked him why. I told him about AIDS and the other things out there and he said if I die I die. WTF ! Yeah, what a winner !! I have met so many players and people that like having FWB and they don't mind having multiple partners I don't know about you, but I am not for that. I care about my health. So I support World AIDS Day.
