First you have to learn the notes (A, C, D, E, F, G). That will take about 1 month to get used to. For mastering a song at least 2 weeks to learn a song. You should practice 6 days a week for about 20 min and you should master at 2 weeks rate. ive been playing the violin for 9 years. i wont tell you to practice since you already know that but you have to start with the basics. dont print music to your favorite songs offline or something and expect to play them perfectly. start learns scales and simple things then move on to simple songs and go from there. look for the suzuki violin music books....they are amazing and are good stepping stones for becoming a better violinist.
