Parents’ Day

Let's face it, the most vital folks in many individuals's lives often be their moms and dads. Moms and dads' Day, then, is much from the horror of Moms and dads' Evening, and is actually a chance to say 'thanks', and to demonstrate how pleased you are of the time, effort and passion poured into your (assumable) effective upbringing and induction into normal society. Great, parents.

For parents: Do you use parent’s nite out care when on vacation?

it depends If its day or nite if its at nite I would put them in a daycare at nite or something. If its day I would send them to the camp or something cuz it would be fun and plus wen they come back they'll be tired and go to sleep earlier and easyier

parents’ opinions please!?

parents' opinions please!?

Depends on what you're making decisions about. But yes, you should be making more and more of your own decisions without asking permission. Have you tried asking for your parents' input, rather than asking permission for everything? You need to position yourself more to appear to them as the adult you are, so they will respond to you as another adult. The more responsible you behave, the more they will trust you to make all your own choices in everything, regardless of whether or not they like those choices.

My son made a lot of choices that my husband and I disagreed with, but we knew we had to let him make those choices and live with the consequences, in order to learn from his own mistakes. I hope your parents will extend you the consideration to do the same.

I hope you can be patient with them, too, because it is VERY difficult for some parents, especially moms, to stand by while you make potential errors in judgment. This is not an insult to you; it's just that you haven't had enough life experience to always know what the best choice is. Sometimes people twice your age don't have enough experience to make a good choice about something.

As a mom, ALL my instincts are directed at protecting my son and making sure he is doing okay. Your mom's instincts have been the same for 18 yrs. To let you run free goes against her instincts. :) When she has trouble letting you go and she can't keep advice to herself, try to be patient and understand that it is a deep down maternal need to help her baby. You will always be her baby. I know how cliche it sounds, but it is absolutely true.

If your parents are overprotective, you are going to have to be the "mature" one and be very patient and calm and repeat that you are now an adult and while you no longer need their permission, you still care about their opinions, just as you would care about your friends' opinions. I hope your parents will realize that it is very natural and healthy for you to want to be making these decisions, and your parents should recognize that they did a good job of raising you, if you are this confident and independent at 18.

Can I drive with my parent’s car insurance? (teen driver)?

Can I drive with my parent's car insurance? (teen driver)?

If you're driving your parents' car, your parents are completely responsible for whatever happens while you're driving. The owner of a vehicle is responsible for any damage that happens, and that's the law all over the USA and Canada.

Technically, you most certainly should be listed as a driver on your parents' policy. But if you're not, that's their problem and not yours. Remember, the owner is always the one responsible for the vehicle and any damage it causes. If your parents say you can drive their car, you can. They own it, so anything that happens is their problem and not yours.

Remember that when you buy and insure your own vehicle in a few months. If you let me drive your car (for whatever reason) and I crash it into a tree, I didn't just have an accident. You did, because you're the owner. Any traffic tickets I get are my problem, but the vehicle and all repair bills and (if applicable) lawsuits are all yours.
