6 Royal Dornoch Golf course

However good Brora, Nairn or Golspie may be, the jewel in the Highland golfing crown is definitely Royal Dornoch Golf Club. Universally rated as being in the world's top 20 golf courses, Royal Dornoch is unique among the great links of Scotland in that it has never hosted the British Open. Not a reflection of its quality, this is solely because of Dornoch's remote location. However remote it may be though, this links is a must play course on any golfing trip to Scotland. more

On teeing off at Ladybank, the golfer quickly becomes aware of the challenge about to be presented. The mature woodland channels the wind in such a way that the aspect of each hole changes. Death Valley National Park-best way to visit in one day?

Death Valley National Park-best way to visit in one day?

Badwater Basin is the lowest point, worth it for the salt flats.. Devil's golf course... the dunes in the central part of the park are neat. Definately doable in a day. Lots of pretty mountains and views, there are many different parts to the park itself too, but the main valley is where you get the most exceptional views.

Be prepared to see lots of RVs, I was surprised that most of the visitors were old retirees in RVs and not tent campers (tent space is limited). The visitor's center has lots of cool maps and stuff you should go there before heading out to other parts.

Just driving around in there is fun, if you love geology and earth sciences you'll have a blast! Hope you have good weather.
