deaf dog not deaf dog doin it question about it?

Deaf dogs are wonderful creatures. They are smart, can learn hand signals, and are just like other dogs. I have had the pleasure of fostering a deaf dog. he was a Dal/pointer mix. He suffered from a lot of genetic issues that eventually became overwhelming for him and he was humanely euthanized. i cried for days. His mother and father should have never been bred. They produced puppies w/horrid health issues.

I truly enjoyed this dog, he was a sweetheart and I do not regret being his foster mother...

HOWEVER deafness is a genetic trait and should NOT EVER be intentionally be passed down into any lines.

this stud should be neutered. and you should probably seek out your local American Bulldog Club and find a mentor. They will be able to help you with your dog...if your dog is a good representation of the breed's standard.

Movie Question - Deaf boy....?

Movie Question - Deaf boy....?

This is definitely a shot in the dark but...

Dear Frankie (2004)

IMDB synopsis:

In Scotland, Lizzie (Emily Mortimer) is constantly moving from town to town with her 9-year-old son, Frankie (Jack McElhone), and her mother, Nell (Mary Riggans), escaping from her husband. Frankie is a very intelligent deaf boy, and the protective Lizzie invented that his father is a sailor of the vessel ACCRA, traveling to different countries, writing to Frankie and telling him of his adventures. Frankie tracks the route of the vessel in a map, and, when the vessel is scheduled to arrive in their coastal town, Lizzie decides to hire a stranger (Gerard Butler) to act as if he is Frankie's father for one day.

This is simply a wild guess because I've only read about this film and haven't had the opportunity to watch it. Someday, one of my movie channels will air it~I hope!

Should i tell my babys father family?

Should i tell my babys father family?

if you have a good relationship with them maybe it might be ok, but if they have a stronger relationship with their son, you might be falling on deaf ears because they will probably believe him if he tells them that's not his kid. now if you're absolutely certain it's his, offer to take a paternity test. that's just a quick thought, but let's think about this more seriously.

now if you're doing this for monetary compensation, just put him down as a parent and let the law take over.

if you think this will get you and your father back together. think again. it isn't going to happen. if he wanted to be part of your life, he would be all over you and the baby. the fact that he's proclaiming it isn't is very telling of what his stance is, wouldn't you think?

so ultimately, the decision is yours to tell them or not, but really think about what the motivation is to doing this because you may not need to tell them at all.
