ya, never believe the "refer this many people and you get .... " ads...because 9 times outta 10 its just a scam to get more people to play the game....

Yes, the first month is free... but they DO charge whatever you're using as a payment source immediately. You get the money back if you cancel before the trial is over (or it gets applied to the next month's subscription fee if you choose to continue as a customer).

I've used Netflix for years without a problem. I actually have it instead of a cable TV subscription at this point.

Beware, a few months ago at the register, they asked if I wanted 3 magazines free for 3 months? I said no, the cashier assured me it was free and I wouldn't get any more magazines after the 3 month trial unless I wanted to then buy a subsription. She then had me pick 3 magazines and scanned them. I signed nothing but my debit receipt. Now I have 150 dollars deducted from my checking account for a year subsription on these 3 magazines. Isn't this illegal? Hastings will never get my business.
