how do you attract fairies?

When you plant an enchanted garden for attracting fairies, you will undoubtedly attract some other friends to your fairy garden with birdhouses, bird baths, bird feeders and hummingbird feeders. Fairies seem to enjoy the same habitat that butterflies love, so plant flowers, plants and herbs that attract hummingbirds, butterflies and bees.

When planning your enchanted garden, many plants attract butterflies and fairies... some of the fairies favourite flowers are sunflower, honeysuckle, fern leaf yarrow, summer lilac, red valerian, daisies, cosmos, rosemary, thyme, purple cone flower, pincushion scabiosa, french lavender and heliotrope. (See also Flowers that Attract Fairies). Plant pansies, snapdragons, blue columbine, foxglove (foxglove, meaning “Folk’s glove” is used for gloves and hats), tulips (tulips are good for clothing and for their babes beds), butterfly, nasturtiums and a long list of other favourites to attract hummingbirds and garden fairies . They love fruit trees such as apple, cherry or pear. They like to use the blossoms for clothing and for spring festivities.

If you happen to live near a stream, you are probably lucky enough to have water fairies in your enchanted garden. Fairies and water sprites love the sights and sounds of water. If you don’t have a stream, building a water garden is just as good. Consider adding a small fountain, water fountain, low bird bath, waterfall or fishpond to attract fairies. Focus on the area around the water garden and work your way out from there. Garden statues of fairies will also help attract the wee ones. Shiny wind chimes, gazing globes and colorful garden flags can help you entice gnomes and elves to add their presence.

Perhaps you're lucky and have an oak tree in your enchanted garden for attracting fairies... if not, consider planting an oak tree! Fairies cherish the Great Oak and use the acorns for decoration, celebrations and use the tops for hats. Magic oak leaves are used in the autumn celebrations. Hundreds of faeries have been found to live in the oldest Oaks. There are fairies to be found in every Oak tree. The health and energy of the surrounding fairy garden plays a major role in determining how many fairies actually live in the Great Oak. Try placing crystals in the ground surrounding the Great Oak if you feel that the energy needs lifting.

Don’t forget that the wee ones are nature loving and enjoy their fun. When attracting fairies into your garden keep it clear of weeds and slugs, although a small patch that is unkempt or planted with wildflowers is fine, so plan to leave part of your garden a bit unkempt. This small area will make fairies feel welcomed. It doesn’t have to be a very large space, but having this one little space will give joy to your fairy friends.

The final step is attracting fairies to come to your garden is very simple. Ask them. If you give conscious energy to this event, it will happen. Believe.

I often go out to the countryside to visit my mother. Her home is like a magnet; it draws you in from the street. Walking up to her porch, one cannot mistake how the air sparkles. Even the cares of the world, which have been weighing down your shoulders, seem to melt away into the earth along the pathway like rainwater. I am not the only one drawn to mothers house. Several years ago mother came upon an old, out-of-print fairy book at a library book sale. Within these pages she learned how to attract fairies. Since then, her home has been the refuge of human and fairy alike. The following suggestions will help you create a fairy-welcoming atmosphere in your home:

The most effective way to invite fairies to your home is to plant their favorite flowers. Fairies share the same habitat as hummingbirds, butterflies, and bees. Flowers that attract these creatures will also attract fairies.Bluebells, foxglove, forget-me-nots, heather, hollyhocks, lilacs, lilies, marigolds, pansies, peonies, primrose, and roses are flowers beloved by the wee folk.

In addition to flowers, clover, ferns, and thyme are plants especially attractive to fairies. Oak trees hold special powers for fairies.

Since fairies are sensitive, it is best not to refer to them directly. They find the name fairy particularly offensive. If you must talk about them, you may use the terms: wee folk, good folk, or the gentry.

Fairies enjoy both well-manicured and wild areas in gardens. It is good idea to reserve a special corner in your garden for fairy use. Placing a special statue or a small fountain in such an area is much appreciated by the wee folk.

Leave out a food offering over night. Fairies especially love dairy products, bread, cakes, and cookies. Dont despair if in the morning it doesnt look like the meal has been eaten. Fairies are able to extract the essence of food without physically eating it. Food should be discarded after a day or two, since it will have little nutritional value left for the fairy. How to make a moist birthday cake for niece.UK?

Make sure you're using the best ingredients for the cake, and using unsalted butter. Also make sure eggs, milk and butter particularly are room temp - you want the butter to be squishy and oily - the oil for your cake that will make it moister.

Try using different recipes, some recipes can have to much flour in them or u have put too much flour in your cake - make sure you are measuring correctly. I've found the hummingbird bakery recipes are pretty good -

The most important thing when baking a cake is MIXING - beat your butter and sugar for five minutes scraping down the bowl intermittently - time it - so it is super light coloured and really fluffy - of course there is a point at which it starts to split but as long as your not mixing it for half an hour or something silly you'll be fine. After you have mixed all the ingredients together mix for a LONG TIME as well, this will make it light and fluffy too, if it is not mixed enough it will not have lots of air pockets which will expand in the oven and will also stop it from being too dry - like creaming your butter and sugar you want to do this for a while too, a lot of people don't mix half as long as they should I've found, often a big problem in how their cakes turn out.

don't open the oven half way through but don't put the cake in too long either - keep it in the amount the recipe says, then you can open the door and i fit really is under-cooked then keep it in only 2/3 mins at a time. do you have a fan oven? if so, try turning the temp down a little.

tldr: good ingredients at room temperature, check recipes/amount of flour used, mix longer, check your oven temp
