Need advice how to write a complaint about a admitting clerk?

In those instances, I write the letter and set it aside until the next day. Then I read the letter again to see whether or not I added too much of my own opinion, whether or not there is too much emotion in the letter, and so on.

Just make sure that you explain the incident exactly as it occurred. State the reason why you were there at the hospital and what your interaction was with this clerk. Don't put any of your opinions in it (like if you think she had an attitude, was racist, etc).

Also, make sure you ask that they respond to you in writing as to the status of your complaint.

Good luck!

Got a placement on ’admissions ward’ in hospital.... what can i expect....?

Got a placement on 'admissions ward' in hospital.... what can i expect....?

I worked on an admissions ward at my local hospital, so I can tell you a bit about what it's like.

Every day is different, you never know what is going to come through the doors next. You get patients who are brought in by ambulance, or referred by GP's or even from Outpatients clinics. The ward is quite fast-paced but exciting at the same time.

The kinds of people you get in are those with breathing problems, chest pains, unstable diabetes, those who have attempted suicide, elderly people with acute confusion, sepsis, infected leg ulcers, suspected DVT's, all sorts of conditions are dealt with on the Admissions ward.

Due to the fact that the Admissions ward is the first stop for inpatients, they can be acutely unwell and not yet stabilised, doctors are always buzzing around the ward, clerking patients in, nurses have lots of admission paperwork to complete, IV fluids to administer and meds to give out, healthcare assistants get very involved in the patient's care, doing Observations, ECGs, blood sugar checks, some of the admission paperwork.

There is an increased likelihood of cardiac or respiratory arrest in patients on the admissions ward because they are not stabilised.

Yes, it is daunting at first, I won't deny that, you might feel like you don't have a clue what you're doing, or what's going on, but you'll soon get into it and it's a great learning curve.

Good luck and enjoy your time there. :-)

Can I postpone a court date?

Can I postpone a court date?

Family court is all about children. You can get a continuance by asking the clerk of the court to help you. It would be great if you brought something from the hospital saying you were admitted on such-and-such a date, and discharged, yadda yadda. Call the clerk of the court. BTW, if you have a genuine court appearance, won't you have your attorney with you? The attorney knows how to get these delays done more easily than you do. Take care!
