Is my house haunted?and why?

Well, I can only figure something out of your dog barking. Dogs and other animals are said to be able to see spirits and demons, so it's possible that he/she also believes there is something bad. But then again, dogs are very sensitive to their surroundings, so a lot of people make mistakes-thinking there's an evil presence when really, it's just somebody outside, the wind, the air conditioner, water pipes, etc. I'm not sure about the refrigerator. But if your doors open or close mysteriously, go ahead and blame it on the air vents, change in household temperature, ceiling fans, or wind from you or your family walking by it. (this happens a lot in my house)

If you believe it's an evil spirit/demon, simply tell it to go away. That should suit, I think. That's all I do! I can hardly ever sleep alone or with all the lights off, so I just have to say, "Go away, please. You shouldn't be here. I have full trust in God, so leave me alone." Or something along those lines. Of course, this could be different, depending on your religous views...as it is, I'm a Christian, so I trust that God will protect me. And in most cases of religion, (if you follow one) God will always know everything-whether it's said out loud or thought inside your head...however, the Devil and other evil spirits or demons can only know what is said out loud. So you actually have to TELL the demon to leave. (not so much as yelling, but it must be said in words) And as I was saying about doors mysteriously opening/closing, you can always assume it's either what I said, or something evil. In that case, tell it to leave as well or say out loud that nothing is there, and the door moved because of something else.

I really hope this helps! Just have faith.

Has anyone ever lived in a haunted house ??

Has anyone ever lived in a haunted house ??

yes when i was married where me and my ex lived the doors would open and close by themselves. at night while we would sleep the lights would turn on. Once I set the phone down and saw it slide away, it moved on its own, and it wasnt at an angle or anything, it was like someone was sliding it across the table. The water faucet turned on once in the kitchen at full force. Thats pretty much it for me. But my ex still lives there and scarier stuff happens to him now that he lives there alone. He actually sees things. Or when hes asleep he feels like is someone climbs into bed next to him, the things he sees, are horrible, if i saw them i would freak out. They pull his covers off him at night too, and turn on his stereo at night in his room. They even mess with his alarm clock . . .

My bed shakes at night?

My bed shakes at night?

Hey, I also live in San Francisco! Cool. :)

We definitely don't have earthquakes every single night at the same time. My bed shakes at night, too, but it's only because there is an old refrigerator positioned right beneath my bed the level below me.

Your bed could be shaking for a number of reasons - old flooring/woodwork of the house, unsteady ground, washing machine or dryer, strange leg convulsions you don't seem to realize, etc. I think the most logical explanation is that you live somewhat near the subway (by near I mean within a mile) and that a train goes by your house at the same time every night. Your bed being unstable somehow and prone to creaking, wobbles a bit with the palpitations exerted by the trains.

Or... your house might be haunted. ;) My house is 90 years old yet I've never seen a ghost, do you have one of those 1800s Victorian homes?
