What do you think of harvey milk day?

I am so sick of the gays and liberals playing the victim and wanting to follow the liberal' path of civil rights- Jessie Jackson's "getting even with whitey" instead of Dr King's path- forgiveness, healing wounds and uniting the people.

Gays are people and deserve respect but they don't deserve "special" rules, "special" treatment and the double standards liberals shower upon selfish interest groups who carry the socialist flag along with the flag of their own cause.

No holidays comparing gays to heroes and victims, they are neither.

edit- Texas Joe- nope, liberal spin and distortion,

Dan White the murderer of Milk, was a fellow democrat who used to get along well with Milk and later had a falling out, he killed Milk because Milk had a hand (not a reach around) in getting Dan White fired, the murder of Harvey Milk was motivated by a disgruntled employee because he lost his job, Harvey Milk was not murdered because he was gay, he was simply someone murdered that happened to be gay. Your attempt to martyr Harvey Milk is typical dishonesty from liberals.

"I cannot prevent anyone from getting angry, or mad, or frustrated. I can only hope that they'll turn that anger and frustration and madness into something positive, so that two, three, four, five hundred will step forward, so the gay doctors will come out, the gay lawyers, the gay judges, gay bankers, gay architects ... I hope that every professional gay will say 'enough', come forward and tell everybody, wear a sign, let the world know. Maybe that will help." Harvey Milk, 1978

"I fully realize that a person who stands for what I stand for, an activist, a gay activist, becomes the target or the potential target for a person who is insecure, terrified, afraid, or very disturbed with themselves." Harvey Milk

The truth is, Milk was NOT killed because he was gay.

He just happened to BE gay.

If your gay and get killed that makes you a hero?

He was killed by a disgruntled former city employee over the loss of his job.

Milk and Mayor George Moscone were assassinated by Dan White, another city supervisor who had recently resigned and wanted his job back.

Do a little research!
