I fell for that too b/c we are taught to take the Bible literally or that it's infallible. Which I happen to believe, but it took age & education to make me consider that perhaps my translation was wrong.

It's funny how when I was young that I assumed the Bible was written in English. Once I learned it was not, I desired to seek the original language. THEN I learned the word "day" was "yom" & a 24 hours day was only ONE definition of "yom."

The other definitions made sense which science and confirmed that G-d was not the author of confusion.

Now when science or common sense leads me to believe that what I'm reading doesn't fit with the rest of Scripture, I look deeper & see that it does.

It's true that a lot is lost in translation & transliteration.

Give those people a break. We've got a life time to learn. Some of us are slower than others.

Why did it take God 6 days to create the world?

Wow, what an arrogant question. Who among us could create the would in 6 days? 6 years? 6 centuries? How about 6 billion years?

And God does it in six days any you want to find fault with Him for taking so long!!!!

I'm not even going to waist my time going into the whole numerology thing, or the different theological aspects that God teaches throughout the six days, or even the plan of salvation or the different dispensations that God shows throughout the six days because I doubt you would believe any of it anyway.

If the bible says six days whats aday to the lord back then six billion years?
