For the graduation issues I think the real crux of the matter is money.

For one thing renting a mortar and gown, having your graduation photograph taken and having a celebration is expensive.

Many children and there parents would not be able to afford it. Therefore the schools themselves would have to buy the gowns and mortars to lend to the students and where would that money come from?

At the moment schools could not afford it.

I think it would be really nice though if more investment was made in schools so we could copy the best ideas from USA schools. Such as school spirit ideas: cheer clubs, semi professional sport with talent scouts, year book and graduation ceremonies.

It would make children happier and hopefully more confident. something in America makes the majority of Americas extrovert and quite proud of their country/ school/towns which we desperately need over here.

As to the issue of the NVQ's graduating, I think they should be allowed to graduate with a full ceremony.

This is another area where achievements should be recognised and morale boosted.

I think it looks gay myself but who am I to judge what gay is. I don't know nor will ever know.

As to the personel qualities at the end ,I think you should not need a reward for them, as being kind etc. should be considered a basic human value, which hopefully most people have naturally.
